In April, 9 artists and I joined together to create a TV production studio as our Senior Thesis Show at NYU. I spearheaded the design team for this project and created the event card design (front side) for our show.

The back of the event card features a schedule of live events open to the public for participation and viewing, on top of the live tv productions we create at our self - constructed studio.

We blocked off the entrance of the Commons Gallery of NYU Barney Building. We installed an ON AIR light box and a plasma TV that features a daily schedule of our tv productions. There is a staircase on the right leads to the mezzanine floor, overlooking our self- constructed TV production studio. To check out the google sketchups on the interior and architectural design plans I created for the show, please click here

We decorated the stairwell with our movie posters, allowing audience to sample a taste of the different genres of tv shows, commercials and productions we created.

Altogether, we created 22 TV shows and 2 commercials. These productions spawn across 10 different creative genres (such as Hyper- Realism (Live TV), Privileged Discourse (Talk Shows), G-Rated, R-Rated, Edibles (Food TV), Minimal Movements (Animations), etc), each created with a few episodes. For more information, please check out our tv guide designed for our thesis show.

This is the mezzanine floor that overlooks the gallery from an aerial perspective. Live events, such as the Grand Opening of the thesis show and a two-part Artist Talk, are organized here.

This is the balcony of the mezzanine. Audience can crouch over the railings to watch us shoot, edit and create TV productions live between April 8 - 22, 2015.

There is a distance between the audience and our production studio because we wanted to feature a holistic, panoramic view of our thesis show. We wish to emphasize on the process of collaborations and creative productions, as oppose to the scrutiny of one single art object.

This is our live TV programming area for scheduling and connecting our videos to play to the public on a plasma TV in a refurbished living room next door. For more information on our show concept please click here

Our show ON AIR features a TV Channel called BFA that entails day time and night time television. I was in charge of creating the logo design and aesthetics that were later input as a channel logo on each tv show.

We refurbished the Rosenberg Gallery right next to our production studio and turned it into a cosy living room setting for audience to lounge around, relax and enjoy our shows.

Homey decorations and TV guides for audience to browse and flip through.

Audience enjoying our TV Shows (Live on screen is the first episode of artist Peter Valenti's Art Haus TV Series Dish) For more information on our TV shows, please check out our tv guide.

Side view of audience enjoying our TV Shows. I created a cooking battle game show ElectriKitchen between 4 BFA contestants (Emma Strebel, Lizzie Wee, Yoon Choi and myself) as our gallery restricted the use of open flames. Click here to check out the trailer.

Audience hanging out, relaxing on our complimentary bean bag chairs.
